Doane House Hospice
Office Team Volunteers are needed to work on administrative tasks such as:
- Mail outs
- Answering Telephones
- Assembling client and volunteer information
- Placing reminder calls
- Data entry
- Entering off statistical information
- Helping with fundraising activities and other
short and long term projects as they arise
This is a great opportunity for students to complete their community service hours, and would also suit retirees or part-time workers who have some free time to spare!
Time commitment would preferably be one half day to one full day per week, however, this could be somewhat flexible. Office hours are between 8:30 am 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, but there may also be the possibility of completing some tasks from home. Training will be provided.

28 years of Hope and Healing as a community hospice Doane House Hospice (DHH) has been serving the communities of North Aurora, Newmarket, Bradford and East Gwillimbury. Our volunteers are the cornerstone of the organisation and we appreciate every one of them. DHH is a community hospice, we are a volunteer based charity that provides free services and programs for those coping with life-threatening illnesses, to care givers looking after a loved one, and those who are bereaved. These services can include: Wellness classes, In-Home visiting, the Oasis Day Program, Complimentary Therapies, Caregiver Support Groups, Art Therapy for children & adults and Bereavement Support. www.doanehospice.org. In the fall of 2017 we welcome the Margaret Bahen Residential Hospice, with the two hospices partnering we will now offer continuum of care for the community.
