Art Program Volunteer with York Region Food Network

Description

York Region Food Network is hosting a 5-week art program for youth to explore environmental issues and social justice themes to better understand our role in fostering sustainable food systems.
Youth volunteers will be responsible for assisting with the set up and clean-up of the room in addition to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all youth participants. Volunteers will assist with getting paint and art materials ready for participants and supporting participants during their creative process.

Volunteers will need to:
enjoy participating in group activities
have a basic understanding of art materials
be willing to assist their peers in a non-judgemental manner

Volunteers must be able to commit to all 5 sessions plus 1 orientation session.
3-hour commitment each week starting Thursday November 8th for orientation, program dates include: Thursday November 15, 22, 29, December 6 and 13, from 3:30-6:30pm at the Aurora Public Library.
