Memory Bears are treasured keepsakes of recipients whose loved one has died. Would you like to help with the sewing of Memory Bears?
Memory bears are sewn using a deceased loved one’s clothing. The pattern and material are provided. Sewing is done in your own home with flexible hours.
This volunteer role is perfect for those who have experience sewing, the ability to follow a sewing pattern and work independently within a completion deadline.
Qualifications
- Previous sewing experience
- Have a sewing machine
- Experience working with different fabrics and materials
- Able to follow directions from clients in a creative and adaptable manner
- Able to work within timelines
Requirements
- Provide clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check and references
Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per month depending on requests for Memory Bears.
