We are seeking a compassionate and engaging ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor to lead weekly online classes for a small group of Russian-speaking senior newcomers who already have a basic understanding of English.
As a volunteer instructor, you will:
- Confidently lead interactive Zoom sessions
- Facilitate meaningful conversations to build fluency
- Present new material clearly and accessibly
- Assign light weekly homework to reinforce learning
While ESL certification is a plus, it is not required—we welcome volunteers with strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
Who You’ll Be Teaching:
A group of 10–12 seniors who are eager to improve their English in a supportive, friendly environment. Your guidance will help them gain confidence and better integrate into their new community.
Ideal Volunteer(s):
- Comfortable using Zoom and teaching online
- Patient, encouraging, and culturally sensitive
- Able to commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule
