General Researcher (Team, Remote, Part Time, Multiple Openings)

Are you passionate about disability advocacy and making a difference in your community? Join our research team at Right to Live Canada! We’re seeking detail-oriented volunteers to help uncover, organize, and summarize information on key Canadian disability topics. Your research will directly power advocacy campaigns and educational resources that support people with disabilities nationwide.
What You’ll Do:
•Work collaboratively with a small team of researchers on defined projects about disability issues in Canada (e.g., accessibility, healthcare, policy, lived experiences, and more)
•Gather information from credible sources, including news, academic studies, government reports, and first-person accounts
•Summarize findings clearly and concisely for use by our copywriting and content teams
•Accurately cite sources and keep research well-organized for easy reference
•Join regular team check-ins to discuss project progress and brainstorm solutions
What We’re Looking For:
•Strong research, reading, and critical thinking skills
•Excellent written communication and organization
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
•Interest in disability issues, social justice, or community advocacy (background in disability studies, social sciences, or similar is a plus, but not required)

•Reliable internet connection and comfort working remotely

This opportunity is a medium term opportunity, open to extension. It is ideally available for volunteer periods of 5 – 10 hours a week, for a commitment period of at least three months.

Note: This volunteer position is open to responsible, mature grade 12 students in University level streams.
