Right now, and every single day, there are families at Yellow Brick House rebuilding their lives.
Every woman’s story with Yellow Brick House begins with the courage to leave a dangerous—even deadly—home. They share stories of terror, despair, and tears. But the real story of Yellow Brick House is about empowering women and children to rebuild their lives and we give a voice to the untold stories of violence in our community, raising awareness about the need for change, and moving our community forward to end violence against women and kids.
Every day, we are operating at capacity. And, while heartbreaking, we cannot accommodate hundreds of families every year.
24/7 women and children benefit from a number of supportive services which include a Crisis and Support Line, 2 emergency shelters for women and their children, as well as a number of community counselling and supportive programs to help transition women and children into their new lives.

Yellow Brick House invites nominations for our volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for governance, strategic planning, policy development, financial and risk management, and monitoring and evaluation. Board members bring skills, experience and thought leadership to the table.
