Event Description  

Blue Door’s Coldest Night of the Year – Richmond Hill is a fantastically fun, family-friendly walk-a-thon that raises money for people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger in our community. This year, Blue Door is excited to host this campaign for the 5th year. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, at Toronto Montessori School.

 

Food & Beverage Lead Responsibilities:  

 

  • Connect with local restaurants, bakeries, caterers, etc. to secure donated food and beverages for event day.
  • Keeps the Event Director, Committee Chair, and Committee members up to date on the recruitment process for donated food and beverages.
  • Learning event details and promoting the event to all contacts and groups they work with.
  • Setting up food and beverage tables on event-day. Event day: Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.
  • Food & Beverage liaison on event-day.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all food donations.
  • Thank all donors and sponsors within a week of the event.
  • Work with all food and beverage volunteers on event day.

 

Volunteer Time Requirements: 

 

  • Spend approximately 5 hours per week on tasks from October-February.
  • Attend bi-weekly virtual committee meetings.
  • Be available to attend the event in Richmond Hill on February 22, 2025.

 

The Food and Beverage Lead is someone who treats donors well, communicates regularly with them, and thanks them for their donations.
