The Lake Simcoe Youth Nature Keepers and the Case Woodlot Guardians will be hosting a bioblitz at the Case Woodlot in Aurora on Sunday October 29th from 10am – 12pm.
Join us as we take part in a National Spooky BioBlitz put on by the Invasive Species Council of BC (ISCBC) and the Canadian Council on Invasive Species (CCIS).
Community science observations play a vital role in our understanding of native biodiversity and in tracking new infestations of invasive species. We hope this project will contribute valuable data and knowledge to preserve Canada’s natural beauty and resources from coast to coast to coast.
If you can’t join us on the October 29th, don’t worry! This project is self-led and can be completed anywhere across Canada. Join the project on the iNaturalist and make as many observations as you can between October 27th and November 1st.
We have some great prizes to be awarded to the individual with the most observations.
Watch a short video on how to use iNaturalist.
