In-Home Visiting Volunteers for Doane House Hospice
Doane House Hospice
Compassionate individuals are needed as a key part of the health care team, to provide companionship, practical assistance and caregiver relief to persons who are living with a life threatening illness. To provide non-medical, short term respite care in the homes of the clients. Volunteers should be interested in helping others and sensitive to the special needs of dying clients and their families, and have the ability to listen, support and validate others in a non-judgmental, caring way. Training is required.
Times vary and are arranged to suit both client and volunteer needs. Volunteers are needed particularly during weekday daytime hours Monday through Sunday.
