About the Program

Neighbourhood Network’s Fall Food Drive program supports local food banks between the holiday seasons. Each year, hundreds of pounds of food and thousands of dollars are raised to help feed our communities.

Thank you to all volunteers, grocery stores, and members of the community for supporting this program again in 2017!

What Are the Goals?

  • To collect food and monetary donations for local food banks
  • To offer a hands-on volunteer experience for students, families, and businesses
  • To raise awareness of issues related to food security

How Does the Program Work?

Volunteer groups are assigned to a grocery store in their municipality and encourage shoppers to make a donation. At the end of the day, Neighbourhood Network staff distributes all donations to the local food banks.
